Itinerary

We leave San Cristobal by collective transport at 10 am and arrive around 3 – 4 pm. We will be travelling local style, taking the 'collectivos' (little vans). It is beautiful but long and windy trip. We will first head for Ocosingo, where we will change collectivo for the last part of the trip. This is where we will head into the jungle, and the last part of the drive will be slow and bumpy :) This is the stuff that makes travelling fantastic.

When we arrive you will check into your room, get some rest, and have the option to eat at the restaurant. If the trip goes well, we will have some time in the afternoon the have a short hike and cee some of the surroundings.

We we will wake up early and go bird watching at 6 am. This tour will be guided by a local Maya- Lacandon guide and will last around 3 hours. We will be able to see different birds of all sizes and colours e.g. Toucans, Loros, and other local & migration birds.

We have the afternoon off to enjoy our time at the lodge, eat lunch and soak up being in the jungle. We leave for a second birdwatching trip at 8 pm. This time to go look for owls and enjoy the jungle at night. A true adventure!

Every adventure comes to an end. We have breakfast together and say our goodbyes before making our way back to San Cris.
